Hannah Adams - London

Reflexology & Gua Sha facials

Who are you?
I'm Hannah and I live in Bromley with my two children Arlo and Astrid and our pampered Persian cats. I've been a Reflexologist since 2011, specialising in Pregnancy and Post-natal Reflexology for the past 8 years. I also offer radiant-ageing Gua Sha facial therapies and Dien Chan Zone Facial Reflexology, both of which are suitable after pregnancy.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Film & TV Make-up Artist. Instead, I took a degree in Journalism at Goldsmith's College and went on to work as a magazine Beauty Editor before moving into complementary therapy.

What would you last meal be?
Oh, so tricky! Either wheat-free spaghetti with butter and truffle shavings or a Spanish chicken risotto, washed down with a glass of ice-cold, dry Cava and finished with a chocolate and cardamon ganache pot.

What makes you happy?
Kent beaches on a warm (not hot) day with my family. Pottering. I love to potter especially on my own! Vintage fairs, markets and car boot sales are some of my happy places. Any time my dad asks if I want a cup of tea. Learning new skills and practising them.

What do you love about what you do?
Initially, like many therapists, I decided to move into holistic therapy because I wanted to help people. But actually, my work is less about what I 'do' and much more about energetic collaboration with clients. I enjoy being in that space together, whether it's a 41 week mum-to-be worried about induction, or a client embarking on the journey to pregnancy. Reflexology is an invitation to respond and I am forever fascinated by the body's innate ability to decipher messages. I also love the many ways I can now integrate different aspects of training, like Five Element theory, into my work.
