Simone Muller - London and remote

Post-natal fitness

Who are you?
I’m Simone, I am from South Africa and now live in SE London with my husband Adam and our 2 children Zachary and Anouk. I was a professional dancer for 15 years and now teach Postnatal exercise classes focusing on pelvic floor and core rehabilitation through my online platform re-centre.

What do you love about what you do?
The physical changes that a woman’s body goes through during pregnancy and postpartum are immense. Having navigated these changes myself I know how difficult they can be. I love being able to equip new and not so new mums with ways they can regain strength and function in their bodies postpartum. Giving them a toolkit and hearing how their symptoms improve is incredibly rewarding.

If you could give one message to all mothers what would it be?
Pelvic floor dysfunction may be common, but it does not need to be accepted as part and parcel of having kids. There are things you can do to improve and even reverse symptoms.

What’s been your most important life lesson?
You need to give something time to see its true value.

What would your last meal be?
Cereal and rice milk!
