Who are you?
Hi, I’m Sophie and I live in Haslemere, Surrey, with my husband Peter, and two daughters, Immy and Ottie. I run my classes from my home in a cosy garden studio and in people’s homes across Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire.
What makes you happy?
My kids’ laughter, Sunday roasts and country walks with family, new books, the sea – being in it, by it, the sound of it, the kindness of strangers, the friends who make you laugh until you cry, a day without plans, a day with exciting plans. Exploring new cities. Good coffee.
If you could give one message to all mothers, what would it be?
Trust your instincts. You know your body, and your baby better than anyone.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
An actor or an architect. But I lost interest in the latter when I found out you needed to be really good at maths. Not my forte!
What does love feel like?
Love feels like home. Joyful, safe, warm. Like putting on an old coat that fits just right.
