Steff McQueen - West Sussex & Hampshire

Who are you?
I’m Steff and I live on the south coast with my daughter, Evie. I qualified as a midwife in 2020 and have been a Hypnobirthing teacher since 2015 teaching private sessions in West Sussex and Hampshire. 

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I am lucky enough to be living my absolute career dream- not only being able to care for women during their pregnancy and throughout their birth experience, but also being able to teach couples the wonderful tools of Hypnobirthing to prepare them for whatever route their birth may take them. 

What would your last meal be?
My last meal would be steak tartare, followed by pie and mash (with extra extra gravy) with a cheeseboard for pudding! I would never be able to eat even half of this….but if it’s my last meal then why not?! 

What’s been your most important life lesson?
My most important life lesson would be to never judge anyone unless you have walked a day in their shoes. We are all far too quick to judge instead of just being kind. 

If you could give one message to all mothers what would it be?
My message to all mothers would be to be kind to yourself. Stop worrying about what other people think or what they do- your child is your child and your body is your body. Do whatever works best for YOU and only you.
